A Space for Parents & Carers of Neurodivergent Young People

Parenting a neurodivergent young person can feel like a completely different kind of exhaustion.

You don't have to navigate this alone. A quiet, safe space to talk with others who truly understand.

About this group

You love your child fiercely. You are also allowed to admit that you are tired.

There are school meetings where behaviour gets discussed but understanding gets missed. There is the exhaustion of chasing support, translating your child to professionals, and trying to stay regulated yourself while everyone else seems to expect that part to happen automatically.

There is also the quieter part: what it does to you. The exhaustion. The anger. The guilt. The feeling that you are expected to keep everything moving while carrying far more than anyone else can see.

This group exists for that full conversation. Not a performance of coping. A room where you do not have to dilute what you mean so other people stay comfortable.

Small, steady, structured, and honest.

Many parents in this group are neurodivergent themselves. If that is true for you, you belong here too.

Beyond the session

The support does not stop when you leave the room.

After three sessions, active members are invited into a private WhatsApp group with people they have already met in person. That timing matters. By then the room is familiar. The names are familiar. The trust has started to form.

The WhatsApp group is for active members only. If you stop attending, you may be removed so members' privacy and personal data stay protected.

Sometimes we bring in something extra

From time to time we run optional guest sessions alongside the regular group. That might mean a SENCO specialist, an EHCP advisor, a registered mental health professional, or someone offering practical nervous-system support. Everything is clearly signposted in advance - nobody is pushed into anything that does not feel right for them.
